This edition is a reprint of the 1914 publication of Maurice Emmanuel's Trois Odelettes Anacréontiques, Op. 13 for Flute, Voice, and Piano. The title refers to Anacreontic poetry, which originates from the ancient Greek poet Anacreon, known for his light, lyrical poetry celebrating love, wine, and nature. Emmanuel, a noted scholar of ancient music and Greek culture, was naturally drawn to this theme. The text for the first two Odelettes comes from Rémi (Remy) Belleau, and the final Odelette from Pierre de Ronsard, two members of La Pléiade, a group of 16th century Renaissance poets.

Measure and rehearsal numbers have been added, along with a brief foreward, making this edition far more rehearsal friendly than any other version available. In three movements: Au PrintempsA la Cigale, and A la Rose.
