Morning Has Broken, arranged for Flute Quartet (or Flute Choir) by Ervin Monroe. The ancient Scottish Gaelic tun commonly known as Morning Has Broken has had many texts set to its lovely melody over the years. The original tune was named Bunessan, after the town of Bunessan, located on the isle of Mull, off the west coast of Scotland. This is the location for an old monastery, built in the late sixth century, which introduced Christianity to parts of the British Isles.

This arrangement can be played by four or more C flutes using solely the C flute parts provided, or by a flute choir simply by adding alto and bass flutes on the corresponding parts.
