Pine Castle Music Publications was started in 1997 by Sonny Burnette, named after the town in Florida in which he grew up. As a composer, Burnette has won James Madison University Flute Choir Composition Competitions with Seven Southern Sketches (1992), Stained Glass Images (1995), and Jazzscapes (1997). His composition Fanfare XXV: The Silver Jubilation was used as the opening fanfare of The National Flute Association 25th Anniversary Convention in 1997. Burnette was the 2001 Kentucky Music Teachers Association Commissioned Composer. He is currently music department chair and professor of music at Georgetown College, Georgetown, Kentucky, where he teaches courses in music theory, MIDI computer music, history of rock music, and woodwinds. He holds degrees from Ball State University, Northwestern University and the University of South Florida. The Pine Castle catalog is a work in progress, so please be patient as we are preparing additional titles. If you have any question, feel free to contact us at sales@alrypublications.com
