Smit - Trio for Flute, Viola, and Harp - CM248
This edition is a reprint of the 1927 publication of Leo Smit's Trio for Flute, Viola, and Harp. Leo Smit composed his Trio for Flute, Viola, and Harp in 1926, and although not as widely known as similar instrumentation pieces by French contemporaries, the trio stands as an important example of early 20th-century Dutch chamber music shaped by international modernist currents.
In addition to the parts being respaced on the page (from 4 pages to 5 pages each), measure numbers have been added, making this edition very rehearsal friendly. Although composed as a single work, it consists of three sections: Allegro ma non troppo, Scherzando, and Molto lento.
Instrumentation:
- Flute
- Viola
- Harp
