Loch Lomond: Theme and Variations for Flute Choir by Ervin Monroe. From the composer: "There are many Scottish tunes which refer to Loch Lomond, one of the most breathtaking sights in Scotland. This melody entitled Loch Lomond is by far the most popular of Scotland's folk melodies, and one can hear it in many versions, renditions, and interpretations. There are many versions of this beautiful folk melody, and I have incorporated some of them into my variations. The rest is purely from my spirit, as I will never forget my Scotch-Irish mother singing this song to me when I was a child. It has stayed with me a lifetime.
