Jonathan Cohen's "Desert Echoes" was composed for the Desert Echoes Flute Project (Christina Steffen, artistic director) to be performed at the 2025 National Flute Association Annual Convention in Atlanta, Georgia. In five movements: Awakening, Meerkats, Tarantula Tango, Roadrunner Meets Rattlesnake (and Has Lunch), and Nightfall.
