Jennifer Higdon (b. 1962)
Jennifer Higdon (b. Brooklyn, NY, New Year’s Eve, 1962), is a Pulitzer Prize and Grammy winning composer, and is one of the most performed living American composers working today. She has been commissioned by a wide array of artists, from the Philadelphia Orchestra to violinist Hilary Hahn. Among her primary teachers is flutist, Judith Bentley.
