Bridge (arr. Hinze) - Sir Roger de Coverley - A Christmas Dance - FC31
Originally composed for string quartet, this work by British composer Frank Bridge has been wonderfully arranged by Gudrun Hinze for three C Flutes, Alto Flute and Bass Flute. Listen for bits of the familiar New Years song Auld Lang Syne towards the end. It is a delightful piece which has been championed by Quintessenz, the Leipzig Flute Ensemble, of which Gudrun is a member. They even produced a video title "Essence of Christmas" which is included below. Check it out, it is a treat!
Instrumentation:
- Flute 1
- Flute 2 (doubles on Piccolo)
- Flute 3 (doubles on Piccolo)
