Telemann (arr. Monroe) - Royal March for Two Solo Flutes and Flute Cho
Georg Philipp Telemann - Royal March (from Sonata in F Major), arranged for Flute Choir by Ervin Monroe. From the arranger: "In the early 1980's, I recorded an album of light classics for two flutes and strings with Canadian jazz flutist, Alexander Zonjic. One of the arrangements was the very popular first movement of Telemann's F Major Sonata in which I created an obbligato for the second flute part. Alexander and I dubbed the piece the Royal March. Our original recording has received considerable circulation and the Royal March has met with particular enthusiasm. Because of this popularity, I decided to arrange the work for flute choir."
