Americans Air/Ere/Err/Heir for Flute Choir for Flute Choir, by P. Brent Register. From the composer: "Americans Air/Ere/Err/Heir was composed in the spring of 2026 as a commission from the International Liaison Committee of the National Flute Association for their annual conference in Portland, Oregon. It is the hope that the piece will be inspirational, fun, and educational for both performers and audience members! The work draws inspiration from the February 2026 NFL performance by artist Bad Bunny, where he reminded his international audience that “American” represents not one narrow perception, but a diverse, beautiful population comprised of multiple countries. The work includes resources of Indigenous Peoples from North America, the 22 countries from North, Central, and South America, and flute solos/orchestral excerpts from the standard repertoire."
