Joseph Jongen's Elegie, Op. 114 for Flute Quartet, edited by Matt Johnston. Based on the score found in the KASK & Conservatorium Muziekbibliotheek in Gent. Numerous errors and inconsistencies have been clarified as well as dynamic and expressive markings corrected across the parts and score. It is hoped that this freshly-engraved, clean edition allows for a new generation of flutists to more easily, and more satisfyingly, integrate this work into their repertoire. Also, as with his other quartet from this opus, the Deux paraphrases sur des noëls wallons, an alto flute part has been transposed from the Flute 4 part and is included.
