Though most of Johan Halvorsen’s career was formed around his talents as a violinist, teacher, and conductor, his compositional output gives him status as one of the most prolific Norwegian composers of classical music. The "Entry March of the Boyars" is without a doubt his most well-known work, existing in versions for both orchestra and concert band.
