Philippe Gaubert - Madrigal for Two Flutes and Piano, arranged by Ervin Monroe. Philippe Gaubert (1879–1941) was a distinguished French flutist, composer, conductor, and teacher who studied with the great flutist Paul Taffanel and eventually became professor of flute at the Paris Conservatoire and conductor of the Paris Opera. His Madrigal, composed in 1908, is a graceful and lyrical work for flute and piano that reflects the elegance and refinement of the French flute tradition of the early twentieth century.
