Antonín Dvořák - Humoreske for Two Flutes and Piano, arranged and edited by Ervin Monroe. Antonín Dvořák (1841–1904) composed the Humoreske in 894 and it is perhaps his most famous short piano work. Its graceful, lyrical melody and gentle rhythmic character give it a warm, nostalgic quality that has made it a favorite with audiences worldwide. Originally written for piano, the Humoreske has been arranged for countless instruments and ensembles, becoming one of Dvořák’s most recognizable compositions. Although it can be played in its original form for flute and piano using this edition, the piece really shines when performed as a flute duet with piano accompaniment.
