Claude Debussy - The Little Shepherd and 2nd Arabesque for Flute and Piano, edited by Ervin Monroe. From the editor: "Claude Debussy (1863-1918) was the most influential French composer of his generation and was the founder of the Impressionistic musical style of composition. The two short selections coupled here were both originally written for piano, but are very effective as solo flute with piano transcriptions. The Second Arabesque was written in 1888, and The Little Shepherd was written in 1908 as part of a collection of works called The Children's Corner. I have found these two works to be effective concert pieces, performed separately or together."
