Cambini - Trios, Op. 26, Nos 4-6 - PMD07
Cambini is credited with “inventing” the woodwind quintet (fl/ob/clar/horn/bsn). In his turbulent life, he composed a large number of chamber works as well as symphonies, concerti, and operas. This edition, believed to be the first since the undated original, was prepared from a set of period parts held in Paris, and carefully corrects a great number of Cambini’s copyist’s inconsistencies in phrasing and articulation.
