Erik Satie - Three Gymnopédies arranged for Flute and Guitar by Ervin Monroe. Erik Satie (1866–1925) was a French composer known for his unconventional musical ideas, distinctive harmonies, and rejection of many traditional compositional practices. Composed in 1888, his Three Gymnopédies are three piano pieces characterized by their gentle melodies, unhurried rhythms, and haunting harmonies. Their understated beauty and innovative simplicity influenced later composers and helped establish Satie as an important precursor to musical minimalism. Here they have been arranged for flute and guitar by Ervin Monroe.
