The Kitchen Kalypso by Greg Lutz, for Flute Choir and Cookware. Dedicated to and premiered by the Slippery Rock University Flute Choir under the direction of Dr. Cassandra Eisenreich. From the composer: "The Kitchen Kalypso, a grate idea cooked up by Cassandra Eisenreich and Greg Lutz, whisks our Flambe-ant Fluters away to a Tropical Tableware Paradise...a Utensil Utopia. Instead of hearing the sounds of Pan drums, though, they'll be using pans as drums in a spicy serving that will leave you boiling for more. This piece dishes up brand new flavors using traditional Calypso ingredients, as each player enjoys a full course of both Flute and Percussion playing."
