£22.00
Without a great body of repertoire by the most famous composers, it is neat to know that this Romance is the only piece that Edward Elgar composed for a solo wind instrument with orchestra. Composed in 1910 and originally for bassoon and orchestra, the arrangement is for solo bass clarinet accompanied by clarinet choir.
Instrumentation:
- Solo Bass Clarinet
- E-flat Clarinet
- 4 Clarinets
- Alto Clarinet (Basset Horn/Clarinet 5)
- Bass Clarinet (tutti)
- Contrabass Clarinet (Contralto Clarinet/String Bass)
