"La vida breve" is an opera in two acts composed by Spanish composer Manuel de Falla. Although the opera is seldom performed today, selections from the opera are frequently performed by orchestras around the world, and this "Spanish Dance" is among the most popular. The opera was written between 1904-05, however the first production took place in 1913.
