Burnette - The Yellow Saxophone and Other Colors - PCMP116
The Yellow Saxophone and Other Colors is a five-movement work for soprano voice, alto saxophone and piano. It was commissioned in 2001 by the Kentucky Music Teachers Association and features music by Sonny Burnette and lyrics by Michael Campbell, both professors at Georgetown College in Georgetown, Kentucky. The movements are titled: The Yellow Saxophone, Rooster Tail, Why I Am Not a Beat Poet, Gravity of Course Is Merely, and Forever Forgetting Your Name.
