This composition for clarinet choir with optional percussion is a modern medley of 3 famous Japanese folksongs: 'Zui Zui Zukkrobashi': a tragic Japanese fairytale describing the fear for high ranked Samurai; 'Hotaru': a Japanese folksong about a firefly and 'Oedo Nihonbashi': the folksong describing 53 stations of the Tokaido Highway during the procession of a feudal Lord leaving Ninhonbashi (which was a prosperous centre of Edo culture in ancient Japan).
