Swearingen (trans. Toda) - The Light Eternal for Brass Ensemble - BRE6
The Light Eternal is a powerful work that recounts the magnificent story of four U.S. Army Chaplains who heroically sacrificed their lives during World War II. “The Light Eternal” is based on the well-known hymn, “God Of Our Fathers”, and is filled with an abundance of musical inventiveness that will produce a startling emotional impact on the listener. Audiences will be overwhelmed!
Here it has been transcribed by Japanese composer Akira Toda for traditional British-style brass band. In addition to the parts typically found in these ensembles, transposed parts are provided for suitable performance by instruments of a standard symphonic band.
