Buxtehude (arr. Johnston) - Fugue in C Major 'Jig Fugue' - FQ54
£20.00
This arrangement of Dietrich Buxtehude's Fugue in C Major is commonly referred to as the "Jig Fugue" because of the lilting 12/8 time signature. This work is thought to be the inspiration for J.S. Bach's Fugue in G major (Fugue a la Gigue), composed a few years afterwards. Scored for Piccolo, 2 C Flutes and Alto Flute (or 3rd C Flute/Bass Flute)
