Flute Fantasia, as the title suggests, follows no conventional form and is written in a through-composed style. This work for flute ensemble was commissioned by the Frederick Flute Choir (Maryland) in honor and appreciation of their director, Jennings A. Glenn. In fact, there is an alto flute cadenza in the middle of the work, especially written in his honor.
