The Poet and Peasant (Dichter und Bauer) is an operetta in 3 acts by Franz von Suppé, premiered on August 24th, 1846, at the Theater an der Wien in Vienna, Austria. The Overture, arranged here for Flute Orchestra, is one of Von Suppe's most well-known works.
