Paul Dukas - Fanfare pour précéder La Peri, arranged for Clarinet Choir by Matt Johnston. Paul Dukas (1865–1935) was a French composer, teacher, and music critic whose carefully crafted works combine rich orchestration with a strong sense of formal structure. Written in 1912, the Fanfare pour précéder La Péri was composed as an introduction to his ballet La Péri, which draws on Persian mythology and tells the story of a mythical fairy-like being. This arrangement for clarinet choir was prepared in honor of the grand opening of Clarinet World on October 24, 2026. Located in San Antonio, Texas, Clarinet World is a boutique store dedicated to the clarinet and its community.
