Hanne Deneire (°1980) studied composition, piano and bass clarinet at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp. As a composer, she has worked with major theatres, orchestras and ensembles. Her music is performed internationally from Belgium over St Peterburg en Milan till Japan. Hanne cherishes yet another passion as well: With her "House of Music", she has been trying to help gifted children belonging to deprived groups through music. After a year of intense coursework in psychology at the University of Brussels (VUB) she started as a music therapist in 2006. At the Guildhall School of Drama and Music in London she specialised in composition and community art. From 2007-2012 Hanne has been teaching at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp.
