Georges Bizet - Habanera from Carmen for Flute and Piano, arranged and edited by Ervin Monroe. The Habanera song/dance form originated in Cuba and got its name from Havana, Cuba’s capital. It was derived from Creole or Afro-Cuban tunes called tonónes, but had some Iberian influence in its development. The dance shows stylistic qualities found in Spanish flamenco.
