Joachim Andersen - Scherzino, Op. 55, No. 6 for Two Flutes and Piano, arranged by Ervin Monroe. From the arranger: "This Scherzino is a delightful work, very cute and short. In my arrangement, I have given the option of having two flutists play and have extended the middle waltz section in a brief slower tempo, emphasizing the almost carnival-like atmosphere of the piece. The original theme and tempo quickly return and the piece ends with a breeze of whimsy. A great encore!" Although it can be played in its original form for flute and piano using this edition, the piece really shines when performed as a flute duet with piano accompaniment.
