Based on source material from the archive of the Netherlands Music Institute in The Hague, this newly-engraved reconstruction of the Ave Maria, Op. 1, by Peter Benoit includes the full score and a newly created piano reduction (for rehearsal purposes) by Matt Johnston. The original edition from the archives was published by German publisher Bote & Bock, c. 1859.
