Chaminade (arr. Buonanni) - Toccata, Op. 39 for Flute Choir - FC541
Although primarily known by flute players for her important Concertino, Op. 107, Cécile Chaminade was a brilliant pianist with nearly 200 compositions for the instrument published during her lifetime. This Toccata, Op. 39, is a virtuosic show-piece featuring a perpetual stream of 16th notes over a light and bubbly accompaniment. Here, it is arranged for flute choir by Nicholas Buonanni.
