The Impresario (Der Schauspieldirektor), K. 486, is a comic opera (singspiel) by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, set to a German libretto by Gottlieb Stephanie, an Austrian theatre director. The entire work is only approximately 30 minutes in length and was publicly premiered at the Kärntnertor Theater in Vienna on February 11, 1786. It was a productive time for Mozart, who also composed his opera "The Marriage of Figaro" as well as three piano concerti in the same year.
